Premier Fence of SWFL serves the City of Fort Myers and the surrounding Lee County communities — residential, commercial, and HOA fencing in every material. Licensed Florida contractor CGC1523105, 20+ years in this market.
Fort Myers covers more ground, and more kinds of property, than anywhere else we work. Historic River District homes on small lots. McGregor Boulevard estates. Newer HOA communities out toward Gateway and Daniels Parkway. Industrial and commercial parcels along the I-75 corridor. Riverfront properties on the Caloosahatchee.
Each of those wants something different, and the practical consequence is that we do not lead with a material here — we look at the property first. A commercial perimeter on Metro Parkway and a privacy fence in McGregor Woods are not the same conversation.
The other Fort Myers detail worth knowing: the city and the county are separate permitting authorities, and a lot of what people call "Fort Myers" is actually unincorporated Lee County. Getting that right on the first submission saves weeks.
Board-on-board and shadowbox privacy in Florida-grade UC4B lumber. Very common across the established Fort Myers neighborhoods where HOA restrictions are lighter. $18–$36/ft.
Zero-maintenance privacy and picket. Widely approved in the newer Gateway and Daniels Parkway communities. $28–$50/ft.
Rust-proof and HOA-friendly. The right choice for riverfront properties and anywhere you want a boundary without blocking the view. $25–$45/ft.
Heavy-gauge chain link, ornamental aluminum, vehicle access gates, and dumpster enclosures for the I-75 and Metro Parkway commercial corridors.
Anti-climb mesh, welded wire, and access control for industrial parks, storage yards, and utility sites throughout Lee County.
Florida Chapter 515 barrier requirements apply throughout Lee County. We build to code, pull the permit, and stay through inspection.
Smaller lots, older housing stock, and occasionally additional design review. Wood picket and shadowbox suit the architecture; we check for district-specific requirements before quoting.
Larger mature lots with significant landscaping. Post placement gets planned around root systems and irrigation, which is worth doing properly rather than discovering mid-install.
Newer master-planned communities with active architectural review. Approved-material lists apply — usually vinyl or aluminum in specified colors. We prepare the submission.
Brackish and salt exposure means hardware selection matters. Aluminum with marine-grade fasteners is the durable answer on the water.
Heavier gauge material, engineered post spacing for wind load, and access control integration. Timeline adherence matters as much as the fence.
Larger lots, fewer restrictions, and county rather than city permitting. Chain link and wood dominate here on cost-per-foot grounds.
This is the single most common source of delay on a Fort Myers fence project. Properties inside the city limits are permitted through the City of Fort Myers. A great deal of what people call Fort Myers — including much of the Daniels, Gateway, and south Fort Myers area — is unincorporated Lee County and permits through Lee County Development Services instead.
Filing with the wrong authority means a rejected application and weeks lost. We determine which applies to your specific address and file accordingly.
North Fort Myers is unincorporated Lee County. Fort Myers Beach is its own incorporated town with its own building department and its own coastal construction requirements. If your address is in either, tell us at the estimate and we will route the permit correctly.
We install throughout the city and surrounding Lee County, including the Historic River District, McGregor Boulevard corridor, Whiskey Creek, Gateway, Daniels Parkway, Colonial Boulevard, Metro Parkway, Iona, San Carlos Park, and North Fort Myers — plus the commercial corridors along I-75 and US-41.
Premier Fence of SWFL serves all of Collier, Lee, and Charlotte County — including communities not listed above. If you are in Southwest Florida, call 239-566-8642 and we will tell you straight away whether we cover your address.
Yes — but which authority issues it depends on your address. Inside city limits it is the City of Fort Myers; much of what people call Fort Myers is unincorporated Lee County and goes through Lee County Development Services. Filing with the wrong one costs weeks. We determine which applies and file accordingly.
Chain link runs $12–$22 per linear foot installed, wood $18–$36, aluminum $25–$45, and vinyl $28–$50. Lot size varies enormously across Fort Myers, so footage matters as much as material. See our SWFL cost guide or call 239-566-8642 for a measured quote.
Yes. Commercial fencing is a significant part of what we do here — heavy-gauge chain link, ornamental aluminum, vehicle access gates, dumpster enclosures, and security fencing for the industrial and retail corridors along I-75, Metro Parkway, and Colonial Boulevard.
Both are covered, but they permit differently. North Fort Myers is unincorporated Lee County. Fort Myers Beach is its own incorporated town with its own building department and coastal construction requirements. Mention your address at the estimate and we will route it correctly.
Usually, with planning. Older Fort Myers lots along McGregor and in the established neighborhoods have significant root systems and irrigation that post holes will otherwise find the hard way. We map the fence line around them during the site visit rather than improvising on install day.
Tell us about your property and we'll walk the site, talk through materials, and put a written number in your hands — no pressure and no obligation.
