Premier Fence of SWFL designs and installs security fencing for commercial, industrial, and residential properties across Collier, Lee, and Charlotte County — anti-climb mesh, welded wire, ornamental steel and aluminum, and automated access. Licensed contractor CGC1523105.
Any fence marks a boundary. A security fence is engineered to delay and deter a determined person, and that comes down to five design decisions rather than one. Get them right and the fence does its job; get one wrong and the rest of the investment is undermined.
Height sets the baseline effort required to get over. Mesh or infill specification determines whether the fence can be climbed or cut. Rail placement matters more than most people expect — horizontal rails on the outside face are a ladder. Footing depth and post spacing determine whether the fence can be pushed over or driven through. And the gate is almost always the weakest point, because it is the one part that has to open.
The highest-security fabric we install. The nominal 3 x 0.5 inch aperture is too small for a finger or a boot tip and highly resistant to bolt cutters. Standard for utilities, substations, storage yards, and any site where the fence is genuinely the last line of defense.
Rigid panels that resist deformation far better than woven chain link. A strong middle option where you need visible security without the cost of full anti-climb specification.
The most cost-effective commercial perimeter. Upgraded with smaller mesh aperture, heavier gauge wire, bottom rail, tension wire, and toppings, it delivers meaningful security at a fraction of the cost of specialty fabric.
Where the property has to look presentable — office parks, medical campuses, schools, gated communities. Spear-top pickets, welded panels, and no horizontal footholds. Aluminum for corrosion resistance in coastal SWFL; steel where maximum strength matters.
Barbed wire, razor coil, and spear or rolled toppings where permitted and appropriate. Municipal codes restrict these in many residential and mixed-use zones, and we confirm what is allowed at your address before proposing it.
Cantilever slide gates, automated swing gates, keypads, card and fob readers, loop detectors, and safety devices. A secure perimeter with a gate people prop open is not a secure perimeter.
Industrial and storage yards. Equipment, materials, and vehicles are high-value and easy to move. Anti-climb mesh or heavy welded wire with automated cantilever gates and lighting-compatible post spacing.
Commercial and retail. Usually a balance between security and appearance. Ornamental aluminum around the visible frontage, upgraded chain link on the service side.
Utilities and critical infrastructure. Specification is often dictated by the operator or the regulator. We build to the spec provided and document what was installed.
Schools and institutional campuses. Controlled access without an institutional look. Ornamental fencing with defined entry points and gates that can be secured quickly.
Residential. Estate and acreage properties where a driveway gate, perimeter fence, and access control together make the property meaningfully harder to approach.
Security fencing runs into more code restriction than standard fencing does. Height limits, setback requirements, restrictions on barbed wire and razor coil, and sight-triangle rules at driveways and corners all vary between Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Punta Gorda, and unincorporated Lee, Collier, and Charlotte County. We confirm what is permitted at your specific address before we design, not after.
It is also worth checking with your insurance carrier before you build. Some commercial policies specify minimum perimeter security requirements for certain classes of stored property, and some offer premium consideration for documented security improvements. Either way, having the specification in writing is useful to have on file.
We install commercial and industrial security fencing throughout Collier, Lee, and Charlotte County — including the I-75 corridor, Metro Parkway and Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers, the Pine Island Road corridor in Cape Coral, and the commercial districts of Naples and Punta Gorda.
Premier Fence of SWFL serves all of Collier, Lee, and Charlotte County — including communities not listed above. If you are in Southwest Florida, call 239-566-8642 and we will tell you straight away whether we cover your address.
Six feet is the practical minimum for a fence intended to deter entry; eight feet is common on commercial and industrial sites. Height alone is not security, though — a six-foot fence with anti-climb mesh and no horizontal rails on the outside face is harder to defeat than an eight-foot fence with convenient toeholds. Height, mesh specification, and rail placement work together.
Anti-climb mesh — commonly called 358 mesh after its nominal 3 x 0.5 inch aperture — uses openings too small for a finger or a boot tip. It removes the toehold that makes standard chain link easy to scale, and the tight weave also makes it very difficult to cut through with hand tools.
Often, yes. Upgrading to smaller-aperture mesh, adding bottom rail and tension wire to prevent lifting, replacing hardware with tamper-resistant fasteners, adding toppings, and reinforcing gates are all retrofits we do regularly. We assess whether the existing posts and footings can carry the upgrade before recommending it.
Yes. Sliding cantilever gates, swing gates, and the operators and access control that run them — keypads, card readers, loop detectors, and safety devices. Gate automation is usually where a security perimeter succeeds or fails, because the gate is the part everyone actually uses. See our gates and access page.
It varies widely with mesh specification, height, footage, gate count, and whether automation is included — a standard chain link perimeter and an anti-climb 358 mesh installation with automated cantilever gates are very different projects. We survey the site and provide a written, itemized proposal. Call 239-566-8642.
We will walk the site, identify the weak points in your current perimeter, and put together a written specification and proposal.
